David LeBlanc joins Henry "Ric" Rodriguez III at anti-spyware firm Webroot as new executives.
Mr. LeBlanc spent six years at Microsoft, and served as Microsoft's Security Architect for Office. He worked to improve security features in all of the Office products. The move to Webroot will give him the title of Chief Software Architect, a title frequently associated with Mr. LeBlanc's former boss, Bill Gates.
Mr. Rodriguez most recently served as chief technology officer for Dynix, which is a provider of automation technologies for libraries. He has served in executive engineering positions previously at several companies, including hard drive manufacturer Seagate. His title with Webroot will be VP of Software Development.
Said David Moll, CEO of Webroot: "We are extremely confident that both Ric and David possess the technical expertise and experience to develop products that address the dynamic and destructive nature of spyware and continue Webroot's best-of-breed leadership position."
